How can I improve the recycling efforts in my community?

I work for a glass company and we just throw away so much glass on a daily basis, i have contacted what i thought to be a recycling center but i got no response from them. i would really love to start some sort of recycling program in my community for glass recycling as well as paper. when i lived in hawaii as a child i remember we had an awesome recycling program out there so if anybody has any suggestions i am all ears

recycling is always an amazing way to help out the community so DO NOT give up on this.
i think you need to be direct. start your own program and began collecting glass. get your friends and co workers to help. start only with ur business then go right to the doors of a local recycling center and hand it right to them. they’ll accept it, no doubt about it.
then, make the program bigger. go more places. this could really help out the world, so go for this!!!
