How much will a recycling or scrap metal place pay for a washing machine?

Just wanted to know an estimate on how much id recieve if i took my old wahing machine to a recycling place or scrap metal buisness?

    the price of scrap has bottomed out, so around $4
    if it still works put it on freecycle

    Not very much if anything at the moment due to present state of the economy & demand scrap metal prices have fallen through the floor

    You may receive 10-15$ depending on the size. There is no demand for the ABS (cover) and the metal parts are down 70%. Better call them before you take the washing machine to Junk Yard. Most of the Yards have mountains of scrap piled up and no where to store..
