What items are fit for the recycling bin?

All my family puts in the recycling bin is plastic bottles and newspapers, but I think there are more things we can put in there. What else? What about paper towel roll?

    Cardboard can go in- some plastics can’t though- it depends on what sort of facility your area has. so definitely you can add cardboard/card- example- box for granola bars- all kinds of paper actually. glass of course. probably all plastics- cans- soda or soup. and some grocery stores will have bins that you can put used plastic bags in and they will recycle them if you recycling center wont take them. but it’s good to get a few large canvas bags for groceries.
    good for you- recycling i mean!

    Paper towel rolls, frozen food bags, pop cans, milk jugs, paper egg cartons, anything plastic or paper related.
    There is no limit

    cans, bottles, all kinds of paper, all carboard, plastic bags, porcelin, p. towel rolls, tp rolls, plastic jewelry, lotion contaners, makeup containers,old posters, deoderant tubes, cloth. i think thats about it.

    also use a composter and put in leftovers(but no meat or dairy products!)

    It depends entirely on your local waste managment company. Some municpalities take things that others wont take. If they provide you with a bin look on the side of it, there is usually a list of what can go in. If not, call them or visit their website to find out. I could give you a huge list of things that can be recycled, but it won’t help you if your waste management company won’t accept or recycle it.

    The most common things they will take are clear glass jars, cans (soda, canned veggie and soup cans, etc) and cardboard in addition to the plastic bottles and newspapers you already recycle. Some places will take paperboard/lightweight cardboard like cereal and cracker boxes, but many places won’t take them.

    It depends on your area. glass should be one
    check on your local authority webpage. or whoever runs recycling in your area
